Motivated by the loss of his friend, Sonny began uniting various motorcycle clubs across Maine, laying the groundwork for the formation of the United Bikers of Maine (UBM). Under Sonny’s leadership, the organization rallied together, successfully lobbying for the repeal of Maine’s mandatory helmet law just two years later—a monumental victory for the state’s motorcycle community.
