Kirk “Hardtail” Willard: A Champion for Motorcycle Freedom

Kirk "Hardtail" Willard has dedicated his life to safeguarding the freedoms and lifestyle of motorcyclists across the country. With thousands of miles under his belt, traveling to support events for ABATE of Wisconsin and the Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF), Willard’s passion for the open road is matched only by his dedication to preserving the rights of those who share that passion.

As an active member of ABATE of Wisconsin, Willard played a key role in securing ABATE Acres, a property that has become a vital resource for hosting events, conferences, and meetings. His contributions have ensured that motorcyclists have a place to gather, strategize, and celebrate their shared love of riding.

Willard's influence extends far beyond the state of Wisconsin. He has served on the Board of the MRF for over a decade, currently holding the position of multi-term president. Through his leadership, the MRF has grown in its efforts to protect motorcyclists' rights, addressing key issues such as rider safety, road access, and motorcycle-friendly legislation. His work at the MRF reflects his unwavering commitment to ensuring that the freedoms enjoyed by riders today are preserved for future generations.

Known for his deep sense of charity, Hardtail has made countless donations of both time and resources to a wide array of causes. Though his acts of kindness often go unheralded, his impact is far-reaching. For Willard, true charity is anonymous—something between himself and the Creator. It’s not measured by dollar amounts but by the collective freedoms that motorcyclists enjoy as a result of his tireless work.

Thanks to Hardtail’s advocacy, motorcyclists across the nation can ride the bike of their choice, on the roads they choose, whenever they desire. His leadership has ensured that the lifestyle and freedoms that motorcyclists cherish are protected, now and for the future.

Willard’s legacy is not just about his miles on the road—it’s about the pathways he’s cleared for others to ride freely.
