Roger Goldammer

Master Builder & Innovator

Roger gained fame as a three-time winner of both the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building and the Las Vegas Artistry in Iron Shows. His journey began with a post-high school apprenticeship, studies at the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, and tutelage under Harley performance gurus. These experiences honed his craft as a machinist and engine builder, always pushing the boundaries of non-traditional custom bikes.

Pioneer of Land Speed Racing

Introduced to land speed racing by a fellow bike builder, Roger's passion for performance at the Bonneville Salt Flats became a defining aspect of his career. He first set a record on a bike he built for the Discovery Channel’s “Biker Build-Off” with an open Softail configuration, 1650cc MPF (modified, pushrod, fuel), achieving a speed of 167.56 mph.

Record-Setting Achievements

Inspired by a street bike record, Roger built an impressive 195 mph Softail with a single blown cylinder. Determined to combine aesthetics with performance, he took a custom bike to Bonneville in its bare form and set his second record with a supercharged, single-cylinder Harley, Number 39, the same year he turned 39. On the final day of the meet, he set a new record at 150.73 mph, classified under the complex category of 1000APSPBF: Altered Frame, Partially Streamlined, Pushrod, Blown, Fuel.
