Tom Motzko

With a remarkable 50-year career at Drag Specialties, Tom Motzko has built a lifetime of memories, experiences, and relationships in the motorcycle industry. His passion for motorcycles and cars began early—owning both before even having a driver’s license. This enthusiasm led him to trade school for auto mechanics, a foundation that would later prove invaluable.

In 1974, at the age of 19, he transitioned from working on automobiles to a warehouse position at Drag Specialties. Surrounded by bins of chrome panhead and knucklehead drag pipes, he immediately knew he had found his place. From picking parts to running the assembly area, assisting in product development, research and development, displays, trade shows, and catalogs, he embraced every opportunity, steadily building a career rooted in dedication and hard work.

Over the years, he has witnessed and contributed to the company’s incredible growth. When he first joined, Drag Specialties' catalog was a modest 100 pages. Today, as the company prepares for 2025, the renowned FatBook has expanded to nearly 2,100 pages—a testament to the industry’s evolution and his role in it.

With five decades of commitment, innovation, and leadership, Tom takes great pride in his contributions to the motorcycle community, grateful for the journey and the countless people he has had the privilege of working with along the way.
