With each additional Main Event victory, Jared Mees continues to rewrite the Progressive American Flat Track record books. Already recognized as a bonafide series superstar with six Grand National Championships to his name prior to the 2017 season, Mees has since elevated his game to new heights.
Starting in 2017, Mees kicked off a borderline ridiculous multi-year tear with Indian Motorcycle in which he cemented his status among the sport’s all-time greats. From 2017-2020, the Pennsylvanian registered an astonishing 33 victories and two additional Grand National Champions while proving nearly unbeatable for extended stretches.
Before he raised the bar, Mees earned most of his accolades due to his Half-Mile expertise. However, he has since shown himself to be a threat to win on any type of racetrack and any given weekend. He’s a Grand Slam winner twice over, accomplishing the feat over the course of a single season in both 2017 and 2018.
Perhaps most notable of all is Mees’ enhanced ability at the Mile venues, culminating in a perfect six-for-six sweep in 2019. Mees is both admired and feared for his tenacity, fitness, and determination. There are no holes in his game, and he has a confidence and swagger that makes him an intimidating presence on track.
And now two seasons removed from his most recent Grand National Championship, Mees is more determined than ever to reclaim his spot on the throne.
He’s also a family man and aspiring businessman, serving as the event promoter of the Lima Half-Mile with his wife Nichole.
