David Uhl’s affiliation with Harley-Davidson began in 1993 as a commercial illustrator, creating stunning art for Harley-Davidson’s best-selling apparel line alongside his partner, Daniel James. In 1998, David created his first oil painting, ‘Change in the Weather,’ based on historic motorcycle imagery, marking his debut as a licensed oil painter for Harley-Davidson. This painting remains one of his favorite compositions, admired for its subtle color arrangement.

David, along with Scott Jacobs and Daniel James, played a pivotal role in expanding the Harley-Davidson legacy. Their creative talents brought color, custom touches, and historical depth to the brand, making an impact in dealerships and homes worldwide. Their partnership with Harley-Davidson granted them access to vast archives, allowing them to draw inspiration from the brand’s rich history.

David’s portfolio includes several iconic paintings, such as a commissioned piece presented to Pope Francis during Harley-Davidson’s 110th Anniversary celebration in Rome.
